Checked 10 October 2026: Ryanair says all fares include one 40 × 30 × 20 cm personal bag that must fit under the seat.

| Allowance | Maximum size | Weight shown | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free personal bag | 40 × 30 × 20 cm | No separate maximum stated on the cited policy | Under the seat |
| Priority cabin bag | 55 × 40 × 20 cm | 10 kg | Overhead locker |
What Priority changes
“Priority & 2 Cabin Bags” allows the free personal bag plus one 10 kg cabin bag. A larger bag is not automatically included merely because it would fit in the overhead locker; the booking must contain the relevant allowance.
How to measure
Measure the furthest outer points. Include wheels, rigid handles, stuffed pockets, and anything protruding. A soft bag may compress, but do not assume gate staff will force it into the measuring frame.
If the result is close
Physically measure again if any side is within 2 cm of the limit. The checker rotates the dimensions, but the bag must still fit the airline’s sizer and the final decision belongs to Ryanair staff.
